The Carrum Afternoon Garden Club Inc. has donated $500 to the Chelsea SES.

The club president, Mrs Phyllis Woodward (centre), and secretary, Mrs Doreen Barnard, handed over a cheque to Chelsea SES member, Allan Crompton, at a club meeting on Tuesday 23 March.

Allan had earlier addressed the club on the role of the SES and the work performed by the Chelsea unit.

Mrs Woodward said she hoped the money could go towards the cost of equipping the Chelsea unit’s new rescue truck.
