Training
Once you are accepted as a volunteer member of Chelsea SES you're training begins.
You will do a first aid course and begin basic training at the unit.
Training happens every Monday evening throughout the year, except for long weekends, between 7.00pm and 10.00pm.
You will learn all of the basic skills you will need to become an operational member culminating in General Rescue assesment.
Following this there are many varied courses available including, land search, chain saw operation, 4 wheel drive, navigation as well as becoming a member of our boat crews.

Training or not, this is no time for Larkin around!Training is ongoing with the opportunity to undertake courses that could involve you becoming one of the people training other new members in time.
