THANK YOU !!!
Chelsea goes orange to show support for our team
Andrew & Vetski getting in the mood for WOW
This week, the Chelsea operational community showed fantastic support for our members by wearing orange on WOW day, Wear Orange Wednesday. on the 9th during this years SES Week that ran between the 7th and the 13th of November.
Bunnings Mentone added orange to the colour scheme for the day
They say that a picture says a thousand words, well following WOW day, I simply have to agree, so we'll let the pictures tell the amazing story of support that has given so much to the volunteers from your Chelsea SES.
Red, Green & Orange; it might just catch on?
These kids from Aspendale Gardens Primary called this "Call The SES"
And this one, "A Crate full of Oranges!"
Andrew & Evette are really trying to win that I Pad 2
City of Kingston Mayor, Ron Brownlees and CEO, John Nevins were right into the orange spirit all right
Not mentioning any names but someone in this picture was having way to much fun as a Red, oops, orange head; however, mu lips are sealed
Bonbeach Primary had a theme of SES In Training, now that's clever
I'd stop if she told me to,especially with that tough hair
Could these be the latest design SES safety glasses?
I think they've completely taken over
SES taking care of others; now that's a really good message
SES in training, more like SES in waiting, this could be an entire new intake of volunteers
Now that's a whole lotta orange
There were so many people that got behind WOW day 2011 and we can't thank them enough, however, we already have some really exciting ideas that are looking very good for next year so we hope to make Chelsea the Number 1 unit in the State for WOW day participation; but we can only do it with your help, so we hope that Chelsea SES can count on you in the same way that you can count on us.
Edithvale Primary also used the day to raise funds for Chelsea SES with a gold coin donation day
The entire school including teachers got behind the day in a fantastic way
The idea was to cover the outline of the letters SES with gold coins
They raised $390 for which we all say a mighty THANK YOU Edithvale Primary!
Rescue 3 with Tim & Ria was on hand to add some heavy duty hardware to the show
Chelsea Primary had a fabulous orange glow with their fantastic show of support
Not just the students...Teachers were happy to look silly too
They all looked great
He is already just too cool
I think that there are a lot of people out there that look fantastic in orange
St Joseph's Primary, Chelsea looked great as they took the individual approach to WOW day
It's hard to think that there are that many shades of orange
From tan to almost pink and every stop along the way, hey, it's all orange to me!
Local MP Donna Bauer's office and staff looked great showing their support for the team
Even though Donna couldn't be a part of the picture as she had commitments for the entire day in Geelong, we are sure that she was still wearing orange and was supporting Chelsea SES at least in spirit if not in person, thanks Donna.
Not all of the organizations that got behind WOW day were able to get their photographs on the day but they were just as involved and we thank them just the same. Here is a list of those that went orange for Chelsea SES in 2011:

An extra special thank you must also go to the Mordialloc/Chelsea Leader Editor, Dimity Barber and her team for their amazing and ongoing support of our unit. When we need to get the message out there, she gets it done for us, every time, which is priceless; thank you so much Dimity and I look forward to working with you for a long time to come.
